I’m just a big-city girl. Who happens to be living in one of the biggest cities for arts and culture in the world. 🙂
I’ve been a writer for several years, and have written for many different publications (not a humblebrag, I worked really hard to be able to say that). It’s been a hard road already, but I’ve enjoyed every second of being a writer. It’s a hard job, but I love it.
No matter what I was doing though, I loved listening to opera. And as I learned more and more how to write about the arts, I wanted to write more and more about it. It’s a beautiful art form, that unfortunately is in crisis. So I’m here to talk about it from the perspective of a young artsy person. Exactly the kind of person that the opera houses need to attend in order to keep afloat.
That doesn’t mean I’ll be kind if an opera performance sucks. 😉
And now for the obligatory social media links: You can find me on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Pinterest. If you hit me up, I’ll respond back. Because no matter what I say about lazy sopranos, I actually like people.
